He came to the United States in 1958. Retired Machine Repair Foreman with the Port of Authority for New York / New Jersey - Hoboken. A member of the Bergen Irish Association as well as the Cavan Association in NYC. Beloved husband of Norah (nee Mc Namee) Curnyn. Loving father of the late Joseph G. Curnyn who predeceased him in 2005 and Geralyn Curnyn, Noreen Gralewski & her husband Donald, Michael Curnyn & his wife Shantha, Annette Ryan & her husband Terrence. Dearest brother of James Curnyn, Philomena Dwyer, Peter Curnyn, Mary McGovern, & Annie Creamer. Cherished grandfather of Patrick, Tara, Fiona, Deirdre, Kiera, Brendan, & Emmett. Funeral on Friday December 21, 2012 at 9AM from the Macagna Diffily Onorato Funeral Home 41 Ames Ave. Rutherford, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM at Assumption Church, Wood Ridge, NJ.
