George was born in Jersey City, NJ and had worked as a project manager for Lucent Technologies before retiring. He had also served in the US Army during Vietnam. Beloved husband to Ellie (nee) DeToto. Devoted father to Jessica and her husband Joseph Krone, and Jason and his wife Jennifer. Adored grandfather to Rylee. Loving brother to John Hicks and Michele Vazzona. Cherished brother-in-law to Sandy and Russ Palmer. George is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
